hi i am interested in geting a ranger someday i really like the rhino but the only reason i want the ranger is because it has better cv axles and it has a unlocking rear axle, it won't tear up the grass, and the MAIN reason is i wan't to make it street legal. i would get a cab and plow. and plow driveways and parking lots in the winter and do some landscaping ( mowing, and brush , stuff like that). i know i would need D.O.T tires, and lights, ect. have any of you made a ranger street legal before. can the 6x6 unlock the differential too, i would think the 6x6 would plow better, but would probably get the 700 4x4. what do you guys think?

 

this is an AWESOME idea! that would be a hell of alot more stable on the roads than a quad. the only thing you'd have to worry about is the top speed. rangers peak at like 40mph because of the gearing, and you have to be in the area were quads can be made street legal. atleast id think... it becomes kinda more of a souped up golf cart now...

more people will chime in im sure, im not really to sure on all the legal applications, but id deffenetly get the Ranger XP

 

I don't know about Vermont, but here in Idaho, DOT approved tires are NOT required.

 

no all 4 rear wheels on the 6x6 are locked at all times makes it tuff to turn moreso if you have alot of weight in the rear but man that is a tank of a machine
