Default Sportsman 800EFI Horsepower?

Ok, so where is the actual horsepower for the Sportsman listed? So far I have not been able to find it in any of their documentation but I have heard that the Bombardier 800 has 62 horsepower.

Anyone know?

Hey Spyder, where did you find the HP specs. I would like to see them for the rest of the Polaris line-up. Got a site we can checkout on this? Thanks.

I have not seen it but I heard the same thing. Anywhere from 46 to 54. One could be crank and the other wheel.

That's barely more than a Predator. What's with that? You'd think there'd be a considerable amount more since it's 300cc bigger.

Alright then, here's a thought, maybe it should be tuned better from the factory so it doesn't get it's rear end handed to it by the Outlander 800.

its built for torque man, thats why it beats the outlander and everything else in sled pulls. the higher you tune a motor the less reliable it becomes. also, the Rotax motor in the bomb has a few different things to aid in its horsepower ability, such as 4 valves per cyl, V-twin, and ultimately the reason why its so fast, its a 100 pounds lighter.

rotax engines always put out alot of hp, most then the rest of the power plants. but that doesnt mean that they are better in the rest of what counts.
