Where I run the race modded carb, I don't need any disks......otherwise, I could see them used. Personally, the turn down tip is what the "big boys" are running. I'll someday, graduate to it I suppose.
But seriously though guys, if you want a fairly simple mod, get the first carb mod by nicholas cycle. This is a great mod, no joke!! Then, you can also upgrade to a clamp on filter....or atleast a drop in. But, bar none, the carb mods are the way to go!!! Check out www.predatorowners.com there are some reviews on the carb mods on there, I believe in the modifications section.

I believe rocky mountain atv used to have them......If not, you might try white brothers website(don't know it)......and if that fails, try nicholas Cycle(www.nicholascycle.com)
The tip is believed to give power due to the correct amount of back pressure it gives. It seems to give the pred a bit more torque....this is after you get the nicholas cycle carb mods though, that it helps. I highly suggest them, as a great performance upgrade. Also, if you decide to get them, talk to those guys about a clamp on twin air filter....this is about the best intake/carb set up you can have(and still have the stock carb). Call them up, and talk to Wes or Jeff, very nice guys to deal with, and very knowledgable about the pred.
