My best advice is to stay away from the jet kits......and go with atleast 1 nicholas cycle carb mod.....Well worth the money....and it will come jetted(or very close). This mod is much more than jetting, it includes grinding, cutting, etc. As for the filter.....that depends on your riding style. Tell me what you usually ride in, and I'll suggest something. What conditions do you ride in, and what are you looking for out of your pred(race, trail ride, etc)??

What makes you think you need to rejet it? it comes stock with the pp pipe on it. unless you ride at higher elevations or plan on adding a open airfilter and\or head pipe I doubt you will need to rejet it. a drop in k&n will give you better throttle response and a little more hp but I doubt you will need to rejet it with just a drop in. I know i didnt have to for just the drop in or adding discs.

If you are jetted perfectly, stock.....then if you add anything that entails the exhaust or intake(filter or disks)....you inturn would actually need to rejet.....to be perfect.
I think this guy, like many others, think that a jet kit makes your quad faster somehow. Well it doesn't. What I mentioned will help hp, and speed. The drop in k&N will not increase much hp....but it is a lot easier to maintain.

the hp you get out of a drop in would probably be one hp at best. I noticed a big difference in throttle response though with just a drop in though. I cheaper method to gain a couple extras would be to add disks to the pipe (10-12) disks total or a turn down tip and rejet maybe one or two sizes bigger.

Yeah....at best, 1hp.....but more likely.....no real hp....and some throttle response. The disks are more for fine tuning your jetting beyond that of the carb. Once you have your carb set, then you can fine tune even better with the disks. Remember, removing/adding disks changes jetting.
The best advice I have is to run what I run.....and that is both of the nicholas cycle carb mods, twin air clamp on filter, and no disks(or turn down tip) on the exhaust. This setup gives hp, and extreme amounts of throttle response.

I assume you are talking about mine........so....no it doesn't decrease reliability too much. I mean, once you get away from stock, you are decreasing it.....but not too greatly yet. I just haven't had the cash yet for the header....but when I do, it will be a rath header!
