Default No Carb in Nordic contries

Hi guys!

I think polaris will drop the 500HO and 700 carb.

In the nordic contries (sweden, denmark, norway, finland and iceland), they have already dropped them! Yes, there are no 06 500HO or 06 700Carb. Only EFIs and of course the 450.

What do you guys think? Will polaris drop the carbs? Is EFI the very next level?

Have a great life!

I think they may eventually in 3-4 years depending on how the EFI sales are compared to the carb models.

I do think the vonerable 500 HO will be around for a while and the last to go.
The 700 carb will be the first to go IMO.

My 2 cents is I think the 500HO & 700 carb will get discontinued next year. They cheapened the 500HO by removing the EBS & PXT tires making the 500EFI much more attractive. The 450 will remain as the entry level Sportsman. The bigger ATV's seem to be moving in the direction of EFI. I purchased an '05 500HO in January just because I didn't need the EFI, but still wanted the EBS & PXT tires. I originally wanted to wait until Nov. or Dec. but i didn't want to pay more for a lessor machine.

I think if you try to find a new car with carb, this will give you the answer...
Same will happen over time with radial tires, xenon lights and we might also see more intelligent suspension and ABS brakes in the near future.

The gentleman from IBM said that PCs would never be needed in private homes, but when looking in the mirror, it would be arrogant of us to think that the ATV industry wouldn't develop in the same direction as MCs and cars.
