Default cyclone pipe on a 250 trailboss

Bought a factory pipe from an 87 cyclone, going to put it on a 93 250 trailboss 2x4. I'm looking for a starting point on jetting and clutching. Current main 150, pilot 40. Have a k&n and clutch spring slightly higher engagement with same rate on top as stock. I also have a 34mm mikuni to replace the stock 32mm. The engine is first oversize bore low hours. I also have a 45 pilot, and mains going up 5 from 145 through 210. Thanks guys Hey 2manytoys I read a very old thread about a cyclone with your name on it did you own one? Doc

curious why you would run the cyclone pipe? I have not seen anyone run a cyclone pipe on the trailblazer/boss.

I know the cyclone cylinders are different so the port timing may be off.

I would raise the needle 2 clips, go up in the main two size and lean it out as possible always start rich for longetity I have always found it best to use a large enough jet to get a bog and then back down one size from there, or until the bog is gone. I've not seen anyone else that has tried this. I know one guy who uses a cyclone cylinder but i don;t know about the pipe.

Mostly because I'm a putz. For me messing around is alot of fun. I'll play with this until I either fail or lose interest. I saw the pipe on ebay and bought it. If this doesn't work I'll probably buy an Aaen Torquer pipe. I guess there isn't a high rpm type pipe out there, or is there. The Torquer is for bottom end power. Also I have a spare cylinder to send out to get ported, I thought the porting could be matched to the cyclone pipe easily, maybe I'm wrong But I'll give it a try. Thanks
Doc, There is a ton of stuff for the trailblazer, not for the dated trailboss.
