Default A Couple Questions...

Doing some maintanance on the 2005 800 of mine and I have some questions for the pros.

1- After I had the engine replaced and I got it back it has had a creep (very slight) but shouldn't happen. I have searched the forum and people have suggested that the shims possible. Belt looks like no flaws, but sometimes going over objects the thing just slips and you can smell the belt. If I get a new clutch kit will this help the issue? Any what are the suggestions of clutch kits. Ritter still the one to contact? Again I have an 800 with 27inch XTR mudlites on 14 inch wheels.

2- Exhaust broke apart on the right hand side silencer where the pipe comes out to the left side. Got that welded and all seems fine. Does the right hand pipe stay on by the springs or should that be a welded fit where the gasket goes into the silencer?

And finally just a reminder for all to check the lower 5/8 bolts on the control arms in the rear of the sportsmans mine is the third in our crew that has broken off inside the aluminum hub. They seem loose goto tighten them and the just break off. And the breather tube from the airbox will have a slice in it that will blow carbon all over your engine.

Oh yeah anybody have pictures of the snorkle kits for the 800 that are being done? Thanks again everybody

yes contact ritter and ask them for the clutch, if not the clutch will blow out while u r ridin and then the belt will rip will in turn will ruin ur transmission. Its easy to put it on, the clutch should com wit a step by step manuel. follow it completly, if not say good by sally, and ur fourwheeler's gone. bout ur pipe, ask the polaris dealer how to do that but don't tell them bout ur engine modification, the warranty will not cover it anymore and they will tell u that u shouldn't have put that on in the first place, shhhh its a secret
