If you are going to replace your belt use a dayco belt. They are alot tougher than the Polaris OEM belt.

mine is much more torquey with a polaris belt.
ive been told the same thing by the yamaha gang.
dayco will last longer if you arent into max performance, IMO.
at 2200 miles, if its on the original belt, give her a change out for the peace of mind.
steep hill id keep it in low and it shouldnt ever slip a belt, unless you have a passenger or something.
good luck.

i recently was going accross a field in deep snow and burnt up a belt. first it started smoking white smoke and then it was fine for a day then it finally blew in the middle of a different field. took it to the dealer and they said it was abuse and wouldnt give me a new one. i used a dayco belt and gained 4 mph on top end and a noticeable amount of mid range.

did you test a new polairs belt vs the dayco belt, or was this your worn belt vs the dayco?

autozone stocks some atv parts, but they carry kelly belts, not dayco. not even sure if they deal with dayco. cant hurt to check.
