I have an 03 Trailblazer 250 Polaris. I'm wanting to run Klotz oil in it. I did a search and ran across a couple people running the wrong Klotz oil in there TB, something about not high enough RPM for the Klotz. Before I go down to my local autozone or such. Can you tell me the correct Klotz to get. Please be specific. Also if this is a bad idea let me know. I just want to get a better 2 stroke smell. Oh and while Im at it. Would it be okay to put in a polaris sp90 05 with very low miles. Thanks.

If you are running gasoline, use Klotz R-50 synthetic.
If you are running Alcohol, use Klotz super techniplate.

the correct klotz oil number is KL-305,
synthetic techniplate, mix it at 40:1 to 50:1 and never had a problem,
cheaper than R-50 and less smoke and clean burn,no build up.

Thanks for the responses. Scramblered I think your right with the KL-305. Enforcer the R-50 that you mentioned was brought up in another topic from a couple of years ago. Under search on this forum type in Klotz. Then open the post Klotz users. In there a member posted a letter from Klotz that said that the R-50 was designed for high RPM race machines and not for polaris low RPM 2 stroke machines. It also mentions the R-50 having caster in it. Something that causes gum up. Check out the post if you would and let me know what you think. Also Scram you mentiion that I should mix it 40:1 or 50:1. My TB is stock and I still have my injector on it. So what would be the stock setting and would I need to change it or could I just drain my old oil out and add this new Klotz KL-305 and go on my way. Thanks again guys. And check out that old post.

I don't know much about the Klotz oil you want to use but make sure it is designed for oil injection and not premix. I am sure it is compatable with the oil you already have in your machine.

I went to the Klotz site and looked at the spec sheet and it said that it was for 2 stroke mix or injection. The kl-305 is the way to go I think....

UPDATE. Just got off the phone with Klotz. Gave them all the info on my TB250 and they suggested the KL-302. Said that it had a better flow rate than the KL-305 and protected the cylinder heads a little better and had more HP. Dont know why It would have more HP but anyway I've ordered some of the KL-302. Nobody in my area carried this brand. Most places didnt even know of them. Thats weird huh.

I have read that we are noy suppose to use TCW3 oils in our Trailblazers. The KL305 is a tcw3 oil. Just go here and read up some more before you buy it.http://www.spectro-oils.com/faqs.htm

I don't know why you have your heart so set on Klotz oil? If you don't like Spectro Oil, you could consider this one too. It is another better choice than the Klotz. http://www.torcoracingoils.com/produ...tsGroupIDPK=63
