Default Rear gearcase leaking, anyone else? 400 Scram

The rear gearcase on my 2002 Scrambler 4X2 is leaking oil. I set the bike up on its end to look from the bottom and I cant see much, but its wet mostly in the middle. Do the case halves commonly leak? I dont see any cracks. Is it pretty easy to split this gearcase to reseal the halves? Thanks for any input.

Mine did the same thing. Just gotta split it and re-seal. Not too hard. May want to change the silent chain while you are in there.

I had to remove mine because I broke my chain and then the chain broke the case. Just take it out and reseal the 2 halfs. Not to hard but as duneaholic stated since you are in there replace the silent chain.
