Default How to make a homeade lift?

I have a 2002 polaris 700, front end saggs from having a plow on it before i got it. Think i am gonna put a 2 inch lift up front to level the quad out. Was wondering about the do it yourself method, i remember something about just useing pipe to make spring spacers. Can anybody give me a few tips as what to do and what is the best thing to make them out of?

I made 1.5" spacers for mine. I machined them out of aluminum so they fit aroound the strut with no play. Then I cut a 1/4" groove on the top so the spring would sit in it like stock, I also spaced the strut up1.5" with a nylon spacer so the suspenion would retain its travel up and down. I have a 05 and the 1.5" spacers seem to be enough.
