Default Coolant level?

I noticed that my coolant level on my 2006 500EFI was on the bottom line of the bottle when cold. I put some Polaris coolant in it to the top line. I noticed after I rode it hard fully warmed up, it leaked out of the top of the bottle. So, while it was hot, I removed some of the coolant to the top line and now when cold, it reads at the bottom line. I hope this makes sense. Is this normal to be at the bottom line when cold and top line when hot?

Yep, the top line should read "HOT" and the bottom line "COLD".

I think as long as the coolant is in between the two marks its ok. Mine is close to the min mark cold and when it gets hot its around the top mark.
