That harsh engagement is probably from the worn area where the belt catches initially. A new primary will do wonders for it I'm sure. Glad it is running good now. I bet it sounds like it's going to blow turning that hard compared to what your used to.

I would love to see a picture of this outframe cpi pipe. Cpi doesn't have any pictures or even anything about a out of ferame pipe for the 400's. I have their race pipe and love it it is a much better pipe then the crappy HPD one.My hpd pipe crack all to hell.

Let me tell ya rite naaaaooow.... That spring was a bogger to get in by myself!
I got a new primary and a new (used) roller conversion on the way. I put a set of "notched" 48 gram weights in it this week and the stall went to 6200. Hmmm.... stalling at rpms over what the motor turns stock. =) sweet!
