Default 800 EFI Mileage

Just curious what everyone out there with 800 EFI's are getting for gas mileage. I am pondering another ATV purchase....

When mine was new I struggled to get 40 miles on a tank. Now it is getting better ,about 60. I have about 700 miles on now. If we play in the mud I am lucky to get 20miles.

I have a little over 1100 miles on mine. Heavy snow eats gas like crazy, I get 10-12 mpg. Hard pack trail riding nets around 15-16 mpg. The worst I got was 8 mpg, lots of mud and slop.

Is there much difference mileage wise between the 700 and 800?

Maybe I should just buy another x2...they have a 6 gallon tank. I want the extra power though

the way i look at it now is, i wanted the power so im willing to pay the fuel milage price. got to love the power to play and worry about the rest later.

stendori I am not really worried about MPG per se rather Miles Per Tank. What do you get as far as MPT goes?

I agree.

When the tank goes empty.....fill it up again.

Normal trail riding gets me about 13mpg- through hilly country & intermittant mud. Had an 04.5 500HO that got better mileage, but there is no substitute for the additional power. I'll suffer with my 800!!
