Default Custom 400 frame?

I am wanting a lighter frame for my TB 400.I think it weighs way too much.Polaris needs to make a light scrambler or TB but their stoppin making 2 strokes which is stupid. But anyways. I was wondering if their was anyone that could make a lighter frame for the TB.I can weld pretty good and my dads a good metal fabricater but we dont have an aluminum welder just one for steel. Is there steel that i could make a lighter frame out of? Thanks Jeff

You can use chromoly tubing, it's steel and it's pretty light. Talk to Whitedog on here, he redone his entire frame with chromoly, I think his weights 276lbs.

dennis race chassis.
he also does standard frame lightening, he replaces most of the subframe, top rails etc in chromolly, the only thing that really stays from the stock frame is the radiator/strut towers and the lower engine skid/a-arm mounts. I here he can get a full suspended dune setup like this to under 350lb wet.

i'm guessing that if you really think you're good enough , go right ahead and do it. ther are plenty of polaris shops who you can call (az badboyz, etc..) and they'd be more than glad to help you. i would go aheadd and call AZ first and talk to dennis about it.
