Muddy Water in Air Box
#1
Actually it was more on the lip of the carb and on the edge of the airbox. It happeded while driving through some headlight deep water. Bike sputtered and eventually she shut off. There was no water on the piston. I just soaked up the water in the airbox with a tissue and she started.
There was none at the bottom of the airbox. What I'm thinking is that it probably came in thru the bottom of the box, until she flooded and drained out when I got to dry land. ANy other ideas?

You probably sucked in the water thru your air box snorkle tube. You did'nt need to tissue out the water. On the underside of the air box there will be a sediment drain tube, take off the bottom cap on this and all the water would of gone out of the air box.Anytime you exceed the heigth of the airbox snorkle with water levels, you will get water in the airbox, even a quick/hard run thru water could cause a few splashes of water to enter thru the tube and down into the airbox,
