800efi questions
Posted this on another site and wondered if I could get some answers here. Rode the 800efi today and was impressed. A couple of questions for those in the know (I have tried to answer these questions with a search but no luck):
1. Other than dispacement is there any difference in the two machines? In other words does the 700efi share the identical front and rear differential and transmission? The reason for my interest is that you would have the strength of the 800efi components in the 700efi machine.
2. Are the melting plastic issues solved? Are there any reliability issues with either of these machines in the 06' model year?
3. On the green base color, the wheels are what material? It shows the red and black base colors with the fancier looking spoked wheels. Are the green units less money because of the black wheels? Are the spoked wheels and tires of good quality?
4. Does the 800efi come with a rack extention on the back?
Thanks for your help.
Steve

800efi questions
Thank you for the replies.
One issue with my Polaris 500 is dealing with debri (weed and grass seed) in the radiator during the summer months. A concern I have is the more agressive fan I have heard is on the 800 efi. Polaris says they put a more agressive fan on to increase airflow. Is this true and if so is there any fix to keeping the radiator clear of debri? Would this be less of an issue with the 700 efi?
I will put a Jamhard on any ATV I purchase but I don't think this add on will do much good for our weed and fescue seed problems.
Thanks
Steve
One other question: where exactly is the heat issue on the 700 efi and 800 efi ATV's? My right leg gets a little warm (hot if I am wearing shorts) on my 500 in the summer. But on my ATV, it is not a big deal.
