Default Polaris 700,

Hey, i have a 2004 Polaris Sportsman 700. I was thinking of getting a different exhaust system. I was wondering if anyone new any systems that are better than others or if theres somthing else i should consider like Ones that sound better or perform better . Any replies would be greatly Appreciated , Thanks.

Default Polaris 700,

I was thinking of the 800 header-Pure Polaris pipe for my 600. I hear it sounds good and gives more low grunt. This combo seems to be a popular exhaust mod for the twins with good feedback. I have purchased parts from Breeze L&G, good folks.

Yes it fits nice, get a new gasket for the cylinders and re-use the donut off of your old pipe between the pipe and muffler. Im experimenting with different numbers of disks in the muffler, I'll let everyone know what I find.

When I got my 800 pipe I sent it off to Jet Hot and had a 2400 degree turbo coating put on it to prevent rust and contain heat as my original 700 pipe melted my plastics. Cost about 135.00 and worth every penny.

Rustybronco How did the coating reduce the heat under the seat and along the rt side of the bike. Mine gets so hot it makes my a$$ sweat even on a cold day.

Wrap it with header wrap.

I thought about that but I'm not sure that it holds in the wet and muck as well as the thermal coatings. Let me know if it does. That's a cheaper way to go.

I bought the header pipe & pp/wb muffler from breese and had the pipe ceramic coated then bought this heat guard stuff from jc whitney and put it on the plastics and had no problems, I'm real happy with the exhaust system and the muffler is not that loud.
