Has anybody used an aftermarket windshield on their Scrambler? I want to get one for riding in cold weather but the Polaris one is all most twice the price of an aftermarket. I just want to know if the fit is that much better to warrant spending the extra money.

The only Polaris one I've seen was reffered to as a Mid Height Windshield as far as I know. It costs about $130 can. I can buy aftermarket for about $70 can. I wonder if the Polaris one is really that much better.
P.S. I know they are all ugly but I'd rather be ugly than frozen when the temps go down below freezing!

RobCulp,
I have a handle bar mounted after market windshield on my 2001 SP 500 HO. I don't much like the looks but I live in the northeast and a windshield is a must. I wanted to beable to remove the windshield quickly for warm days and tight trail riding plus I have to remove it to put the machine in my enclosed trailer so I came up with a quick disconnect system. The windshield came with c style clamps, I went to the local hardware store and bought smaller SS bolts and a furniture bolt that fit in the c clamp backwards, this left about 1" of threads exposed, the windshield had two loose arms that I had to drill and bolt together to keep them stiff. Now all I have to do is pop the windshield over the 1" thread on both sides and screw on a wing nut. It takes 10 seconds to remove or install the windshield when I need it.
