does anyone know if polaris has sorted out the jetting issues with these quads?ours runs ok at about 3000ft but at the trails which are 4-5000ft it runs like ****.it runs super rich and just sputters along. my dealer has already jetted it down to a 145 from the stock 147. it helped a little but still it runs rough. any help would be great. i thought the needle might be adjusted wrong.it idles good but no power at all.

i dont change altitudes like you do but isn't that the nature of a carb to get richer as you get higher and you have to keep rejetting as you climb for performance?? i think the only way around this is EFI.

I just bought one the other day, i'm at 10' altitude lol, but within 15 mins of riding it during break in it started sputtering. Didn't do it today when we were riding it. I'm hoping the problem doesn't return. I'm not overly thrilled with this thing.

I dont know if anyone else got one, but I got a letter from Polaris to bring mine in for a free 10 hour check. I wonder what that is about. I live at about 650' and weight 300+ and it will carry me straight up until it will roll. Something is wrong if your wife is having trouble climbing a hill.

My sons has almost 200 miles on it and it runs like a top. He's 5'9 about 120lbs and the thing climbs like a goat and swims through bogs without a problem...

you know i rode my 330 trailboss today at about 3500 feet and it lacked power but it did not sputter. im sure it would of had similar symtoms as yours if i would had gone higher in elevation. do you not have an air/fuel misture screw on the carburetor huh? i'd screw that in all the way until litely seated and at the same tim count exactly how many turns it took to be litely seated for you can know the original screw "out" it had. from the litely seated position start with complete turn (360) and start to play with it until it stops sputtering
