Default long or short travel

I have a 1997 scrambler 500 4x4 does anybody know if it is a long or short travel suspension. Is there somewhere that I can find its specs.

since i don't know what yeay they actually changed, i can't tell you for sure. What i can say is that my friend has a '96 that is the short travel, which does NOT have the dual-rate rear spring. My '02 has a dual rate real sprin and is the long travel. I may be wrong, but the short travel has (i believe) 6.7" front / 7.2" rear whereas the long travel has 8.2" front/ 10.5" rear. Hope that helps.

I have a Progressive Spring KIt for the scrambler. The 85-115 in/LBS preload kit with the preload adjuster. The kit is the long travel and it does cover 97 and up. BTW there for sale for $90.00 delivered. They are NIB.
