pxts to xrts size differnce

Default pxts to xrts size differnce

my buddy wants to buy my stock tires and i would like to get the m.lites xtr radials. how much deeper is the lugs on these tires and is it worth the hasle of of buying them. there stock 26"ers. my advise is welcome, thanks.

Without measuring I’m gonna say the lugs on the XTRs are probably about a quarter inch deeper (taller?) than the PXTs. IMO yes, it’s worth it. The XTRs are a better riding tire and much better in the mud. You’ll be going wider up front so you should consider aftermarket wheels with a wider offset.

I agree - about a 1/4 inch - maybe more. The lugs are much more agressive as well. If the PXts chew up your yard the XTRs will destroy it - if you are not careful. the XTRs ride just a hair rougher but other than that they are better in every way.

The 26 inch XTRs are almost an inch taller than the PXts as well.
I would recommend ITP wheels because of the offset. You don't want a bunch of crap to rip your boots.
The factory setup has no sidewall protection either.

I kept my original set - they are all gouged and I like having a backup set just in case.

I will try to post some pictures later if I can figure it out.
