You just have to remove the front storage box to make it easier to get to the fan and shroud not the bumper and brush guard.
I take mine off @ each mud ride and you will be surprised how much mud is in there.I just use a garden hose til it runs thru clean and check it with a light to make sure.

Thanks for the help - That sounds better than I thought. I will try it this weekend.

You guys just got my curiosity going........my 2004 has a removable plate on either side of the radiator. It goes between the radiator itself and the radiator guard shield. When you remove these (3 phillips head screws) on each side you have excellent access into the front of the radiator between the guard shield and the radiator. You can stick a hose with a spray nozzle right in and douche out the radiator completely and very easily.

Don't the 2005/2006 machines have these access panels on either side of the radiator......if not they should.

You were right.
I was shocked at all the mud on the back of the radiator. I did not have to take off the shroud but I did take everything else apart. With the front jacked up and some creative spraying I was able to get it all. Now that I have done before it should not take too long next time.
Maybe the big mudhole behind my house is not such a good idea.

If the plate or flap on each side is removable I could not figure it out - and I was looking for a shortcut!
Taking the front box off wasn't too bad though.

Thanks for the response.

It's a shame those panels are no longer removable.....great easy access into the radiator.

The panels are removable but they are held on with push pins. Once you get the pins out you geta better view of the front of the radiator. This helps with cleaning while on the trail but in order to clean the back side you have to remove the storage unit.

Push pins already out of mine because of the jamhard and the brushguard,so have to remove the storage box to do it right. No biggie to take the box off and the fan and shroud out.(15min)
