Default Carb Problem.

A friend of mine bought a 2001 325 magnum that has set outside for quite a while, Gas went bad, carb all gunked up. I took the carb off to clean it and the throttle assy. wouldn't move so I soaked it with pentrating oil and cleaned with carb cleaner and got it freed up, put it back together, put in fresh gas, it started and ran fine.Let it sit overnight and it is bound up again.Guess I gotta clean it again.Anyone have any suggestions on how to cure this?
Anyone have a carb? Its a Mikuni 32.

i take it you drained the gas outta the tank to? i would advise you to soak the carb right into a container of carb cleaner and leave it for a couple hours / overnight. i had an issue simular to yours with the same quad actually but a 2002 and i soaked it in carb cleaner overnight and bought a new needle and i belive the jets i just cleaned with a jet cleaner kit. hope this helps.
DAN

PS before you put the carb in the cleaner MAKE SURE you take all the rubber peices out of the carb or they will bloat and be ruined as goes for the needle..

One simple thing clean the carb the fule filter and the jets. But it would be a smart move to replace those two things besides it's very cheap areound 20-30 dollars.
