Low end torque for Predator
#1
Still fixing up the wifes predator to make it a little more woman friendly. Bought some anti vibe bar risers and new seat.
Now i need to figure out how to get some more low end grunt out of this motor without having to tear into it too deap. I have the air box completely removed and have a clamp on filter clamped to the back of the carb. It lets the motor scream on top end but has no bottom end torque at all. Feels like riding a two stroke motor thats tuned to pull on high end.
Any suggestions on how to get the power down to the lower to mid range? Maybe a longer head pipe or something?

Ditch the clamp on K&N filter and go with a CFM airbox and run it with the lid off. It made a huge difference on mine with a yoshi pipe, keep in mind you will have to jet it afterwards... I've heard that since the predators carbs are vacuum controled they need a little more distance between the carb and filter if you are looking for low end grunt, thats why alot of people run the rath and civic intakes...
