I have a 96 Sportsman 400 that will not fire, isn't getting any fire from stator to the CDI, not from the charge coil nor the trigger coil, is my stator bad? Could any thing else be causing this? Thanks for your help.

 

sounds like the stator is bad, unless you have it grounded out( like having the kill switch on)
