i think there is more then one confused person in here...


if its just your plastic cover, fix with some sort of silicone or somthing. it wont hurt that quad unless you go in deep water. then your belt will slip.....

 

thank god!!!! i dont no much about engines i just enjoy riding, so i was worried that it could ruin the trans or something. thanks guys

 

OK EVERYONE

for you blind people who refuse to read past the first post, pull your heads out of your *****. he is talking about the PLASTIC belt cover/shroud

its an easy fix, but the best way to fix it, is to get a new one. there easy to put on, make sure to save your gasket if you dont get a new one with the new shroud. the gasket is the second most important part. while you have the cover off, it would be a wise choice to inspect the belt for glazing and see if you need a new one.

 

a little harsher way of saying waht i was tryin to... lol, spyder, i've been complaining about this nonsense of people replying to thread titles instead of actual posts (which i can see is not necessarily the same thing as what's happenned here... i suggest everyone make certain that they are answerring the question asked before they post a reply. (though i suppose i can see where the confusion came from...) i just find it hard to believe i was the first person to realize that he said "cover" lol.

and yeah, i just think its funny how people see the thread title and put on their super man suit, to only read half way through the first post and go 'OH MY F-ing GOD!' and rescue them. thats just me of course [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img]
