Default 800 oem duals on 700 ?

I bought a set of stock 800 mufflers and am going to try and add them to the hot seat header, was wondering if anyone else has done this? I am hoping to quiet mine down some and still maintain good power.

this is actually a worthless addition, the 800 mufflers add no performance bennefits. your best bet would be to get a hotseat muffler, or just live with something a bit louder.

The oem 800 duels do flow more so it will be better then stock single and it is not loud some people think loud means power

can you removed the ends of the pipe on the 800 exhaust? i have noticed in pics that there are a few bolts on the end of them. if you could take them off what would it sound like?

no, the mufflers are sealed shut and ceramic coated. i owned an 800 for a year and ran the **** out of it, i know everything there is to know about them.

the 'screws' you talk about are just nubs at the end, if you look at the side of the mufflers you'll notice that the caps are actually welded to the muffler tub/mid-section/body
