Default Sport 400 vs. Scrambler 500

thanks a lot guys for all the info.... from the sounds of it i need to play with the clutching... i believe the carb settings are good, so i'll gonna go from the black orange to the straight orange primary spring and see if that puts her in the sweet spot... ritter told me i might need to... and i guess as always he was right..

thanks again guys

wow a post from 2005 that I want to respond to GUYS and GALS thinking of getting another quad and debating between the 400 sport or the 500 scrambler and just for fun the 500 scrambler is the one that is 4x2 and a button to make it 4x4?

There are 2x4 500's and 4x4 500's (also 400's) . And yes it is a switch that engages 4x4 (after the rear wheels slip 1/5th turn).

BTW if you want to mod it to go fast get the 400 if you just want a quad to ride that has less maintenance and probably more reliable get the 500 4 stroke.
