What stuff is in a clutch kit???

Yea, so AAEN told me that for a racing lite silencer and racing pipe that i only need a primary aaen-green spring. Now is this true?, will just 1 spring lower my performance or should i buy the entire kit? not sure whats in the entire kit though.

I would try the Aaen green like they said.It is equal to a Polaris or HPD brown spring.
THey have never told me wrong on clutching one of their pipes yet.

You would get a secondary spring. But I would go with a polaris gold secondary on a 250.The Aaen blue is a little too much backshfit to me.It is great on the bigger machines though.

ftwflh,
On my 03 Trail Boss I have something like the Pink in the primary, otherwise the clutching is stock. I have the Stage 1 Kit and run 25" tires on 12's.
I've heard mention of the A&N Blue or HPD Violet for the secondary. Do you think I'll see improvement with adding the Blue or Violet? I don't mind losing a little top for more hill climbing torque. I guess I don't know what this would do?
And when I install it, will it be remove/install or will I have to also change the position of the secondary, like to 2-2?
Thank you

Lukester I would need to know what rpms you are turning now to help you out.I run the Aaen blue but I used a tach and put it in for backshifting and to drop my rpm a little.

ftwflh,
Understand. Can't answer what rpm's but know it is much higher than stock. I do think it should back shift better.
Is your Aaen install spring-for-spring, or did you reset your secondary to 2-2 as well?

ftwflh, you say you put the aaen blue in for more backshift and too pull your rpm's down? What rate is that spring. With everythgin I know about cluthcing a stiffer secondary spring will backshift better and should pull more rpm. Are you seeing something different?
