Herm, did you ever resolve your "Noise"? I have a 700 that has started to do the same thing after about 1000 miles on it and it only does it when turning right. I was hoping to find out something here before I go to the dealer.

 

I had a 2000 SP500 that had the same noise.Plus everything else on it kept coming apart. Finally I tried trading it. Then tried selling it. Then I just gave it to my dad! He still works on it about every time he rides it. GOOD LUCK!

 

With instructions from The CVMan I was able to remove and disassemble both inside and outside rear CV joints. I found a burr on the race of one. I filed it down, repacked and put all back together. I still have some noise, but it is much better.
There is no question the noise is coming from the joints.
Sounds like this is common for Polaris.
A guy I work with has a friend who is a Polaris mechanic and he says to expect to pay about $1/mile on repairs...
