On my 01 sp500 ho I have just finished putting the motor back together from installing a new cam and I noticed on this one way valve, it has a big chunk taken out. What would cause that? What does the valve do? I've ordered the $13 piece of plastic and rubber but now I have to wait another 3-5 days until I can start the motor.
