I have a 2004 Sportsman 500 OH with very low miles. When running and turned at a HARD RIGHT, the engine shuts-off (like some turned the ignition key off). It only does this when making a hard right turn (no problem when making a hard left turn). I removed some of the plastic wiring guarding just under the ignition system (behind the top headlight), which appeared to be pulling-on the ignition wires when turning at a hard right. At first, this appeared to fix the problem, but, now the problem has returned. Any suggestions?

That has happened to my on my 06. It happened becasue I had the key on a key ring and the ring would get hung up on the fuel filler cap and bump the key just enough to shut it down. I now have the key on a different fob and NP. It seems to me that the key should be in a diff location or bit higher. It took me about 3 or 5 shutoffs to figure out what was happening. I though I had a wireing issue at first.

When trying your suggestion, I noticed that the whole wiring connector leading into the ingintion switch was being pulled very slightly and just enough to disconnect the whole
wiring connector. It appears that the mechanical clamp on the wiring connector is not strong enough or is defective. So I hot clued the male/female wiring connector and so far the problem has stopped. Thanks again.
