My buddy has a 400 sport and every time we go riding it costs himm at least 100$ in repairs. I was wondering if this is common? I thought about getting one but now I'm not sure. He has lost his starter ,the pull cord, the rear shock, the reverse override, all the tierod ends, steering shaft bearings, belt cover warped, and he looses the clutch buttons every 2 rides

I had a 99 Sport 400 and never had any trouble. I would have kept it, but I needed 4x4. For Me it was a great bike. I think you buddy may have got a lemon.

Do you ever have anything constructive to say.

Ignore the crap from non Sport 400 owners. I have a 1996 Sport 400L. I bought it used in 1998, it was as new when I bought it. I have not put one dime in parts into it since I have bought it. Other than gas, oil, plugs, and air filter. So no, they are not crap!

You people who blabber off on here with no experience can go elsewhere.

Yeah, they're junk. Some of the Polaris owners on this site are so brand loyal that they can't see that better products exist. If I got screwed buying a Polaris I'd have trouble admiting it too. Oh wait, I did do that at one time.

I've beat on my 99 Sport for 2 years without a single problem.

Chub's just a flat out idiot. And BrokemyBanshee rides a 200cc weed wacker with wheels, and has the gull to crack on Polaris.
