Help . . . Deep Water Runners

Is it difficult to drain the carb. I have had bad experiences with doing carb work (when I was young and foolish . . 15 . . I did something to the carb on my fathers Trimoto 125 and messed up the engine). Don't ask what . . . cause I don't know . . . only that Dad had to shell out $s to get it fixed.
.
That drain tube for the carb . . . is it difficult to find? Which side of the bike would there be easier access and is it on the front, back, side or bottom of the carb?

Ok guys thanks for being patient with me......I have the carb vent tube extended up above the handle bars....I have the carb drain screw all the way in....????? Can water get up the drain tube and in the carb when the screw is in?????I believe mudmachine said to crimp the drain....I was just wondering how water would get past the drain screw?????Thanks again....
