How can you set the idling on a EFI
#1
I have a 04.5 700 EFI that I just had to track down some bad connections for the fuel pump, anyway it idled fine before I corrected this and since then it just idles enough to keep it running, 700-800 rpm instead of around 1100 rpm. I fouled the plugs from loading the cylinders with fuel to keep making sure the pump was working when chasing loose wires and then put new plugs in. I did nothing else except a new K&N filter. It will almost quit, its idling so low, anybody know why?? When I went out this past wknd at first it idled fine but I noticed that it was missing again like another plug was bad but it stopped after a few miles??!!

I know this may sound a bit silly but check your plug wires. Sometimes a bad wire can sound and act alot like a fuel problem. While it is running, just see if you can alter the sound or rpm's while wiggling the wire. I know that this is a long shot, but it is very easy to rule out a bad plug wire.
