Do you think it"s better than the Polaris brand and is it backwards compatible to API SH?

Pure Polaris for me. It's only two quarts. A $15.00 piece of mind for my investments.

Mobil 1 is the best oil you can buy.

I have been running it in my sp700 for a few years now.
Just get full synthetic and the right weight (0w40). You do not need wet clutch oil in an auto trans machine that's only for the manuals with shared oils.

The ratings go up every year or so but if yours specifies "SG" then SH, SI, SJ is just the next better (newer rating) up the scale, just don't go down or lower (IE: SF) but it don't have to match exactly.

I've been putting Mobil in my 500 for two years now with no problems.

Any good name brand synthetic oil is as good as the Polaris oil and in most cases BETTER than the Polaris oil.

You are not doing yourself or your Sportman a favor by buying Polaris oil.

If you insist on using the Polaris oil you had best change it VERY often.

Why is Polaris oil crap? It is synthetic right? Does it have all of the additives that Mobil has? I would have imagined so.....

What do you use for filters? Polaris? Are there other companies who make a filter for the 500 engine?
