Default WHICH IS FASTER? 400 OR 500 SCRAMBLER

primary spring is hpd red/yellow

top end was just done two weeks ago, motor has about 6-7 hours on total rebuild.

the weisco piston said 3 thousands clearance on the piston box, we went 5 1/2 thousands because hot seat as well as some atvconnection members said go a little more because of weisco heat expansion.

thanks guys

hpd red yellow is what i have in mine with the stock s55 weights. i started with 10-58's but that was under Hpd's assumption that i had an actual trail port which was what i asked for but wasn't what i got. mine ran like a terd on the bottom and didn't have much more top end than before until i changed back to the stock weight's and dropped my main from the 280 that was recommended to a 250. i'd say you should be able to go down to a 30 on the pilot too. but i agree with Duneaholic i'd look at the clutch situation first. do you have a buddy with around the same year polaris? that clutch is interchangable with a lot of different polaris models from between 97 and 02. you can go to the polaris site and use there parts diagram to look up the primary clutch for your year and right next to the part number is a link that says usage. that will show you all the bikes that use the same clutch. if they will let you you can try there's to see if that helps. i'm gettin 152psi with my .020.
