Coolant Problems on 800
Well I noticed a coolant puddle under my ATV. It was leeking from the peep hole on the bottom of the Water pump Cover. I then looked at my Overflow tank and it was below MIN. I desided to check and see if the bolts on the cover were loose and the bottom covre bolt was loose so I tightened it hopeing this would fit the problem. I then filled the over flow to just below the max.
I then took it out for a run about 45-55 mph up and down a road. Ran fine. Stopped to check for leeks. Still leaking. Checked out my over flow tank and it was completely full and overflowing out of the pin hole in the cap. Fan came on often but HOT never came on.
????????????
Any thoughts
Thanks for any help

Sounds like you could have air in the system that needs to bleed out. Typically on a closed system if ther is air it causes overflow becasue it expands more than the coolant. Try and leave the cap off you overflow and idel the bike until the tstat opens see if you get some air burping into the overflow. YOu may even need to open the radiator and remove the cap to reduce the pressore so the air can work is way out.

Are you sure it's leaking from the weep hole? If so it's the water pump. If the cover was loose it could just need a new o-ring for the cover, my 700 leaked , but it was just the o-ring, when I filled it back up with anti-freeze I had to take the front rack off and fill it in the radiator cap, it would do what yours is through the tank.

Not 100% sure it is from the weep hole. It could be from the O-ring. If I need to replace the O-ring any tips on replacing.
I checked it this morning after it was completely cooled of and no anti-freeze under it and the level in the overflow is back the MAX level.
Thanks
