Default How much play in the rear diff?

Hey guys. I have an X2 and I jacked it up tonight to check the brakes....long story short I got to rotating the back tires and there is a lot of slack in the rear diff driveline. Is this normal? I was concerned because I am alwayd hearing a 'cluncking' noise when I got over big bumps, etc...I wasn't sure what it was at first but I am sure it is that slack now. I can understand a little but there is literally 3-4 inches of rotation slack....At any rate I love the bike. I hope it holds up.

My sportsman gets that clunking noise too. From what I understand, thats normal and most if not all sportsmans do it. It should happen when going down a hill using the EBS or any time you decellarate it could happen.

That's what I figured but it still seems like an awful lot of slop in the driveline.....You would think that over time enough of that clunking is going to start wearing on parts.
