Default Scrambler CV Brush Guards

Just replaced the boots on my wifes 500 Scrambler 4x4 and decided to upgrade the stock cv protectors to something more effective. I only ran into one problem, I cann't find any. I don't want the plastic meirs for 50 dollars when I can get metal ones from JC Whit for 25. I figured that DG, UMRacing or the like would make some. Any ideas or should I make my own?

Default Scrambler CV Brush Guards

I have some on my Scrambler 500 that were supposed to be for a Sportman 500. I had to re-drill 2 of the 6 holes to make them work & grind off one corner on the left side to make it clear the U-joint on the diff. end (1/8" no big deal) They are the Oxlite brand guards. They are 1/8" plate steel, heavy yes, but no more torn CV boots i got mine used for $10, so I didn't care about the little extra time & effort it took to make them fit. Now... hacking on $70 new ones, that's your call.
