Rumor mill on 07's
#1
The rumor for this year are the Sportsman's will be lighter and the 800 will be a true 800. The Outlaw will basicly stay the same with just the few fixes from this year. Pred might not be a 500 and have a new power plant. Don't know how true, but sounds good.

Come on!! I want to hear more on this. So far it sounds good. If Polaris does make a new "True" 800. I hope they put alot of time and effort into it. I hope they offer their regulary heavy weight Sportsman and have the so called lightweight Sportsman as an option. Polaris needs to get back on top (still are IMO) in the ultra big bores. They dont necessarily need to overpower everyone, but do alot of simple things to enhance their ability in most categories. I've also heard that this year is Polaris' mechanical design year. '05 was the cosmetic design. So if thats true, i wonder how much the Sportsmans will change??? I think '07 is going to be the best year for all ATV company's. Im VERY excited to see what all the company's have to offer. Especially Polaris...

I used to get excited about the new models coming out and even stayed up one night to see the polaris web page when it came online. But each year all that ever happens to the scrammy is new stickers. WOW... And each year everyone talks about a low gear and a 700cc and we cant forget the all important lost of weight. Yet it never happens. Been there done that believe it when I see it.

wasnt that you 2 years ago that posted that the new 05 Polaris site was going to be up for 5 mins a few days early to test the site. Then after everyone was saying that they couldnt get the site up. You posted GOTCHA..... That was awsome.

They will likely have a 450 pred w/ a KTM motor... though from what i hear the predator's engine responds very well to being sleeved down to a 450 so maybe they could do that rout and make a GNCC predator w/ a 525 KTM motor... Oh, and i've heard from many people EFI for the preds next year!!! that would be awesome. Still, scrammy's an '02 and Preddy's an '05 so i'm not due for a new unit until '08... I need to buy a house anyway... lol! whatever they release, it will be awesome rest assured. Since they started really stepping up, first w/ the HO sporstmans and then w/ the Predators, they've never stayed second for long...
