Default 04-700 Rear Caliper

I was out doing some yardwork the other day and noticed that I had one heck of a drag on my quad. I noticed that it felt like the brakes were on, but they were not. After the smell and sound, I found that my rear caliper is locked up. I lifted the quad and checked the front brakes...just fine. I then went to the rear and found that I have a rear caliper that is really applying some serious pressure to the disk. I pulled the caliper and pressed the piston back in and then took it out...perfectly good until I applied the brakes. Then I had to put it in 4 wheel drive to make it back to the garage. Caliper is locked tight again. Took it off and started the quad on the lift and in high with little throttle the wheels begin to spin. put the caliper back on and it takes about 3800+ RPMs to turn the wheels. Anyone have any suggestions? I have gone thru and bleed all the brakes..but I think it is in the caliper.

Thanks

if the caliper is not releasing, you will either have to rebuild the caliper(EPI sells kits) or buy a new caliper. a rebuild will most likely do the trick to fix it.

Thanks for the feedback. I will take the caliper apart tonight and see what is going on. A rebuild kit is just the seals and a new plunger..
