i have a 99 sportsman 500, speedometer just stopped working. It lights up but no speed or odomenter . I read in other post that if the sensor goes bad your 4x4 quits working also but my 4x4 is working fine. I've checked the connections plugged into it and they seemed fine. Is there something else i should look at or do i just need a new speedometer and how much do they cost approx.

 

IF THE SPEED SENSOR on the right front goes bad it will do this i have replced 2 so far on mine. but you should still have an hour meter and it should still register hours of use. if everything is blank then you have have a speedometer issue. and mine still worked in 4wd when it quit. i also unplugged everything from the pod and 4wd still worked
