trial boss 330 oil cooler fan comes on by itself
ANYONE GOT ANY IDEA WTF? I BOUGHT A NEW POLARIS 330 FOR AROUND HOUSE AND MAINLY FOR WIFE, THIS THINGS BEEN A TOILET RIGHT OUT OF THE GATE. TO HEAVY, SUCKS IN MUD, STARTS LIKE CRAP, ENGINE VIBRATES MORE THAN IT SHOULD WITH TODAYS TECHNOLAGY, AUXILARY BRAKE IN REAR DIDNT DO ANYTHING THE DAY I GOT IT, IN 6 MONTHS FRONT WHEEL BEARING SEIZED AND ALMOST KILLED SPINDLE, NOW IME IN GARAGE JUST HANGIN OUT AND OIL COOLER FAN COMES ON AND STAYS ON ALL BY ITSELF. ONLY WAY I CAN USE IT NOW IS TO UNPLUG FAN WHENE I WANT TO PARK IT AND PLUG IT IN WHENE I WANT TO USE IT. IME NOT GOIN TO POLARIS DEALER- I WILL GO TO HONDA DEALER AND TRADE THIS DONKEY IN ON A HONDA. ANY IDEAS WHAT TO LOOK FOR? THIS MACHINE IS LIGHTLY USED ITS LITERALLY BRANDE NEW.

I got to be honest with you , I never heard of all the problems your having with your trailboss , you must have gotton a lemon.
As to your post about the fan motor , it is a common problem , I had luck with taking out the stat , you will see it right on top next to the plug you removed , clean it really well , then before reinstalling it , turn the key to the on possition , ( do not start it ) then to the off posistion , the reinstall , if it doesnt work try it a few more times , if that doesnt help then you need to replace the stat itself.
Good luck.

sounds like you are talkin abought the sender in the oil cooler? this fan comes on without the key on- infact you can take key out and its on you cant stop it unless you unplug the fan motor itself- unplugging the sender under normal conditions with key on or engine running turns the fan on full time.
