Hello all, Just joined the forum to get some expert advice that I haven't found on the site yet. I have an '02 Sportsman 500 HO that after running for a little while, the headlights and the tailight start to blink. I will turn the lights off for a minute or so and then back on, they will work for a little while then start blinking again. it is a bit annoying at night or when I am plowing. Any advice? Thanks in advance for the replies.

 

The problem is one of the circuit breakers is bad. There are two breakers. They are under the plastic piece that is below the headlight and goes under the front rack. The breakers are in little black pouches. Normally it is the one on the right and farthest away from the coil. The pouches get moisture in them and then the breaker rusts and corrodes. Cut the pouch open and get a new breaker from the auto parts. It is a 20 amp breaker.
