TB won't start?
#1
Hey all. My 2002 Trailblazer on it's last ride became hard to start midway through the day. After checking the plug I found on it that the insulator cracked. Got it home and put a new plug in and now it won't start at all? It's got spark, when I pull out the plug it looks kinda wet but not bad. Took the air filter off and shot a blast of starting fluid and still not even a fart? I'm stumped as it ran perfectly before this. Seems like it's getting spark and fuel? I tried 2 different brand new plugs even. Any help would be appreciated. This is a low mile/hour machine. Brian

Thanks for the reply. I was kinda thinking that that could be the problem too. I'm borrowing a compression tester from my brother today to see what is up. It's pretty sad if that is the problem because it doesn't have very many miles on it. Always use Polaris Gold oil. It no doubt will be getting fixed then replaced. Hell I had dirtbikes for years and hammered on them and never fried a piston. The bikes would start loosing power. Does anyone know if you put some oil in the cylinder before checking the compression or not? Thanks, Brian

no you dont put any oil in. best way to do a true check is the machine off and cold at full throttle and crank it 5 to 10 seconds. if you were riding it and it broke the ring you should have noticed a power loss i would think. was color is the plug? if its white too lean it will white and rich would be black.
