Im trying to get my electric start up and going agian and Im putting the new battery in and the last owner before me just ripped the battery out when removing it. So Ive put new connections on the ground and postive wire but there is a little red wire that I dont know where it goes. It runs into this little sealed rubber pouch looking thing. I hooked the new battery up and still have no power... I know this little red wire has alot to do with it. Here I took a couple pics to make this all go faster. Thanks in advance.

If that is the wire I think it is, it should be connected to the solenoid with the positive battery cable.

 

So just hook it up to the + battery or to the solenoid?

 

It should be connected to the solenoid.

 

Ok, yeah you were right I hooked it up to the + and then hit the starter button and the solenoid smoke and the starter didnt click or anything?? Does this mean my starter is out? The solenoid clicked and then it smoked now it wont do anything I think I fried something. Man
