Hawkaye help.

I tried a quick search, sorry to beat a dead horse. I am interested in hearing from guys who have had to rejet their Hawkeyes. My nephew's Hawkeye has ran like a top until last weekend. They have experienced the sputtering when wet and I think that was pretty much resolved with dielectric grease. A general sputter has set in. Everything seems to be mechanically sound my brother said that he went over the carb and everything seems to be in place. It is stalling on steep uphills. We ride at about 1000' above sea level. I was just wondering if any of y'all have had problems at about the same elevation and what jets or whatever else you had to do to fix it. My brother is divorced from my nephew's mother and gets him every other weekend. We are wanting to take him for a good trail ride on the weekend of the 10th and would like to give the dealer a good idea of where to start. We don't have time to waste on the typical hit and miss troubleshooting from the dealer. Thanks in advance.
On edit: Went back and read some of the responses on the search. I might have it, please feel free to post up.
