Well here it is my first problem. I jumped on my bike yesterday to start it and I got the service icon and my battery icon was also on. Started the bike and the light went away after a min or so. I've heard a bunch of stuff about fan relays and patristic loads but I did not think they affected the 06 models. Is the fan relay still an issue? Does anyone know what the stator output for these bikes is and what I should test the charging system with. It may be a bad or weak battery which I will warranty but just want to make sure all is well with the charging system before I get a new Battery.

 

i wonder if its draining your batt somewhere and then once its running it is charging it up again. so if it sits for a while it will be dead. was it hard to start at all. maybe take a voltage meter to your batt to see if it is actually low then if it is take one of those testers that tell if there is juice or not with the quad off and see where its stealin it. just a thought there

 

The Bike started fine. I'm going to test the fluid and check the levels since I did roll the bike a while back. I checked it after to look for any spillage but did not see any. I've also tried not to shut the bike down while the fan has been running becasue this way I know the fan circuit is open. Thanks for the ideas and it looks like I'll be doing some load testing. What fun.
